I had been looking for a 26-27 body, but i want small and cant find an unstretched version. My new plan is to buy a 23 body and chop the rear down flush with the sides for a more 26-27 rpu look. My question is how would i replace the bead that is part of the top edge of body? also has anyone ever seen this done?

Don't think it would be to hard to do, just a bit labor involved. Fiberglass is pretty easy to work with. Lay out your section area, cut the top edge off carefully, then take of the amount you wish to lose, plus the height of the top edge. The top edge will glass back in place. Sounds easy? No, not easy, but very doable with careful planning. I would rather work with fiberglass than metal on a project like this.
