Do T buckets need front shocks?

Friction shocks were the first thing rodders got rid of in the old days and updated with the new "airplane" hyd. shocks.

IN MY OPINION friction shocks ain't much better than no shocks. I have seen a few with old english type knee action shocks and I think these would do a much better job than the friction shocks with rubber and talc but are also hard to find.
