Hey guys. It has been a while since I posted but I did decide to throw a cam in the car over the last winter into Spring which included new lifters, pushrods and valve springs along with a double roller timing chain and gear. Took a little while to do since I was just working on it in my spare time and I don’t have a whole lot of that but here are a couple of pictures of the tear down and video of it running. The cam is a comp cams Thumpr cam. I wasn’t looking for a lot of power (don’t need it) but definitely wanted that cam lope.

Thanks Indycars! I’ve taken it on a few short drives since getting it back together. I need to address a braking issue before doing much more driving. Brake pedal bleeds down to the floor occasionally. Brake fluid looks pretty dirty so going to try flushing in new fluid first. If that doesn’t fix the issue then I’ll end up replacing the master cylinder.

You should try to make it to the regional NTBA event in Alton IL on Oct 6-8. You are just a little over 5 hours away. There should be 15-20 cars there. We cruise from about 9:30am to 3:30pm, stopping for lunch and/or a fun place to visit.

If you don't have a trailer and don't want to drive I've rented a U-Haul trailer once for the Nationals.
