First Drive Today

I took it out for the first time today i went about 4 miles just for a check out. I had very little trouble with it, first off i had the transmission vaccume line on the wrong port of the edelebrock so it wouldn't shift into high gear. then i noticed a small leak of ATF from one of the double flairs going into the trans cooler. Other than that it drove very straight and easy. The brakes stopped real good, the engine didn't overheat even though it almost 100 degrees here today. All gauges worked properly. I'm pretty satisfyed for the first time out. I did get plenty of thumbs from the neighbors, my gardener even went along for the ride. I'm still waiting on the chrome shop to finish the door hinges to install the door then that will allow me to finish the upholstery.

Very nice ..that first drive is one you wont forget ..

looks good John. What color are you doing the seat in?
They will be carmel color with insets on both side panels also i think i'll have a full lenght pocket just below the front of the seat on the seat riser for small hand guns and such

John you need to tell us about that riding lawn more on the new fourm.

Also saw some sand rail type tires next to the garage...wonder what they go on?

OK the lawn mower. My friend had a stock mower he raced, he always lost it was very slow. He asked me about 1000 times to build what he called an unlimited class mower meaning do what ever you want to it as long as it still looks like a mower. I built #5150 for him it's a Honda 1000 RR fuel injected motorcycle engine connected to a Honda Quad rear axle putting out 185HP, It's water cooled with a high volumn electric fuel pump mounted inside the fuel cell, rack and pinion sterring and all gauges work. It's mandatory to run Hoosiers tires they sponser the trophies at their sanctioned races "Yes he took a trophey his first time out" it was the last race of the season. This year there asses are in trouble i want all the trophies. It will run about 140 on the open road My wife has banished me from riding it, i filpped it upside down on a test ride knocked me out cold since then i added 100 lbs of lead to the left side it stays on the ground now. If anyone has the nerve and wants to try it out just stop by i'll fire it up for you. It's one CRAZY RIDE
