I my silver bucket I had the reverse pattern, manual shift trans. I really liked it. Turbo 400 with a 3500 stall.

The silver bullet has a 700r4 transmission in it now, I really like it, it has a stock converter in it I haven't checked the mileage but it is great

It has a 300 hp 350 in it now

I have used them in the past in street cars, and will be doing it again in my bucket. I LOVE them. One thing you can do to soften the shift harshness a bit when you are driving at part throttle in stop and go traffic is to upshift below the converter flash point.
