Spotted this bullet on a blog I follow at times. Several things got my attention and thought some of you might enjoy see it. First thing was the fact that Chevrolet builds a front cover to accept a standard distributor eliminating the 8 coils. Also allows real carburetors and manifolds. As to the builder of this car..
Bill Maropulos raced Comp Eliminator some years ago. We ran up against him in the late 70s and several national events and he was always tough. Mike the founder of this site was also involved with a Comp Dragster at the same time and we talked about all the people we both knew and raced. Mike was a walking treasure collection of that era and I really miss our visits. I know he banged heads with Maropulus as well. The point being is the power to weight ratio in these cars. Just something to think about. Enjoy!

I think I've watched that video before but didn't catch the front distributor. I guess that's only done for the LS motors ?

    Try this link.
Pace Performance - GMP88958679 - GM LS Engine Front Distributor Drive Cover Package

There several other that have a like package but I have not really looked them over and not really a engine guy. If I can't weld it I'm out. Couple of spare LS engines in storage for future projects might be well worth having. Add a intake and a stand alone throttle body and away you go!
