Has anyone ever installed the 7 inch muffler inserts on the exhaust extensions? I can't seem to get an answer as to which direction they should go in the extension and how far in they should be. Called speedway and the person answering the phone didn't know so they sent me to tech support. Waited on hold for 25 minutes...twice. anyways so far I'm not impressed.
Thanks for any and all help.

I use the 7 inch Speedway inserts in my collectors, and they may be installed either way. If you put them in with the open end of the little louvers toward the engine (which is how I do it) they will be a little quieter. The other way will be a little noisier, emphasis on "a little."

Hi Spanky..it seems that both ends are open. One has a beveled ring and the other end has a concave ring. Which end goes on the extension?

Well, if you look inside with a flashlight, you'll see the little "louvers" I'm talking about. The beveled/concave ends don't really affect the sound.
