Signature line question

How do I create a signature line? I got the avatar figured out, but I can't find anywhere to make a signature line. Any help would be great. Thanks.

if you go to the top RH corner it well read .... 37hotrod inbox Alerts log out..... hit 37hotrod and go down to signature, and fill in the box..

That's what I thought, but there's no "signature" option in the drop down menu. Am I missing something?
