I would not advise putting 155's on a 6" rim. A good choice would be a 195/60x15" on a 6" rim. That is what I ran when I first built my car. I also ran 275/60x15" on the rear at the same time. Check the photos below.

It's sometimes hard to visualize what something is going to look like going by shear numbers, so many thanks for supplying the photos with those tire sizes Jim.....works for me.

Mine is a 165 on a 6" rim, I wouldn't go any smaller than that however.

They are the stock tire size for a VW Bug and they run a smaller rim width than 6".

Yep thats it, thanks Chief. I wasn't clear about it. Yes, no smaller than a 165 tire on a 6" rim.
