tank testing

Hey Ron!
How much pressure is enough for checking a tank for leaks?
Welding on one right now with a ton of corners and joints.
Six sided, like a stopsign shape and around 30 inches long with a sump, baffles and three fittings not counting the cap... Lots and lots of corners..lolol

3 or 4 pounds. not more than 5 or you'll have a round tank.

So 15 lbs is exessive? lololol
Im used to testing big asme tanks built with convex heads and 3/8ths thick walls or more..Back out to the shop and the last possible bucket ride of the season...

I use 10 psi on all my tanks.
