Wheel backspacing for jag rear

With a standard Jag hub carrier, the maximum backspacing you can run is about 5"... maybe 5-1/8" if you're brave.

What year and model is your rear-end?

Here are some pix. Back-spacing in the pix is 4-7/8".

BlownT posted a great diagram on rear-end spacing a couple of years ago. I have it on my hard drive somewhere but I can't find it. Hey BT! Can you put up that drawing again?

By the way, this is with a 15" wheel. Go to a 16" and you could go crazy!!
This presumes, of course, that the inside diameter of the back side of the wheel is similar to Center Line Auto Drags, as shown in the pix. Your mileage may differ!! :hiding:

OK, I'm going to bed now. It's a sad comment on my life that my entire evening was consumed with responding to this post.

Ah, but this weekend I'll be hot-rodding with my best buddies in Mountain Home, Arkansas!! That makes it all worth it.

So I finally pulled the plug on some rims. I went with some Wheel Vintiques Gennie 16x10 with 5 back spacing. Thought I would share a couple pics of the clearance you will have with these rims.

These give me about 3 inches of tire clearance to the bed, which is exactly what I wanted. Once I get some tires mounted I will post some better pics, the garage is a disaster right now!
