Has anyone ever tried liquid nails for attaching some wood braces. Just wondering if it would work or screw up the fiberglass and cause more work ?

I used an adhesive to attach wood when I was "wooding" the body and when I built my rear lid... however, once secured, I glassed over everything so strength was in the glass and wood, not so much the adhesive.

Liquid nails works great. I have used many times in bucket building. I use 3/4 plywood and cut it into small strips and use the liquid nails to fasten to the body. Scuff the fiberglass really good to get the shine off, glue and clamp over night.

Same here have used it for several things and as long as the surface is prepped it seems to work great.
