9" Ford Rear End Pinion Pre-Load

Hi All,

No that I am putting the rear back together, can someone explain a step by step to set the pinion bearing preload? I have a new crush sleeve, seals, etc and I am reday to go. Does the pinion carrier and pinion have to out of the third member to do this? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Yes this is a really good video on it look at the second one for backlash adjustment also.It is on an 8.8 but process is the same.
