A Ford in your future . . . ?

I heard on the news this morning that Ford Motor Company is offering a great deal on new vehicles to US buyers in order to offset the impact of tariffs. From now through June you can buy a new Ford for the same price that their employees pay. If you're in the market for a new car, now is the time!

Hell I already have 7 Fords sitting on the property now, I don't think I will be taking advantage of this speical...........

I would raise prices slightly to cash in on the panic. Emphasis on panic.

I’m not buying anything new! Besides the cost all the extra crap they add to intrude on my life and ease of theft with all the new technology.
I see where one guy on YouTube bought a dishwasher and could not use all the features without adding an app to his phone and creating an online account so his DW could communicate with the Bosch cloud.

I’m with you. I get frustrated with my older stuff and think about just buying new but I really do not like the new stuff plus all of the bells and whistles are pointless to me, not to mention not being able to service them. They have made buying a new car unrealistic for me. I would and could pay cash for whatever, I simply refuse to pay the price and do not like them. A truck that I like would cost so much, it’s unfathomable.... a pickup truck.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a new F150, but.... All the dealers in my area stock 4X4's, 4-door trucks with 2.7L Ecoboost or the 3.5L Powerboost hybrid engines. I don't like the idea of 2.7L with 2 turbos, nor do I like a 3.5L (that also has 2 turbos) coupled with an electric motor and a 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. While all the technology is good (more HP, better fuel mileage), what happens when it breaks? I don't have the tooling, computers, knowledge, etc. to troubleshoot any problems. Anything happens, back to the dealer it goes. Then when I look at the complaints for each of the dealers, there's a common complaint, having to wait a week or more for someone to troubleshoot the problem, then waiting for parts, etc. Plus....to agree with LongJohn, the basic truck is around $50K and goes up from there. Guess I'll keep my 2011 F150. My code reader works on it, I'm able to pull any codes and do all (so far) the maintenance and repairs needed.
