Like T-odd I have both books and have read them with a grin. I think most of what he did wouldn't even be considered today.

Try to get a copy of the Total Performance Manual. Also search around and see if you can get the Full set of Shade Tree Mechanic episodes where they built a TP car.

A lot of guys have build albums I bet they would post links to if asked.
I have the Shade Tree Mechanics Video you could buy it from Total as their "assembly"video Cost was 5$ in VHS I don't know if you can still buy it from them or not.You might be able to get one through Speedway or Contact Mickey Himself at King T in Florida It's 6 or 8 half hour episodes of the old Shade Tree Mechanic TV show when they assemble one of Totals kits. Now you guys got my interest peaked on these other build books I'd like to read them now ,Anyone willing to email them in PDF to hammerman35"at"juno.com

I'm with the others here, 100%! I had a copy of ...on a budget, that I read, chuckled about and then sold on e-bay. Very little there that I would have considered useful. More of a novelty.

I have the CCR plans and the TP plans. Paid for them both and I recommend you do the same, after all, they put the time to put them togethor.

I used both plan sets to build my bucket. Frame on TP is nicer but takes more skill to build, in my opinion.

chesters book is good reading on the throne , but there really isnt very much in it that s worth following now adays , and the writting is humorous in a rat rodder sort of tone ,
