Looks like I'm moving to Lincoln, NE some next week.
Any tbucketeers in Lincoln?

Want to know since I don't have the VIN on my car yet. If I should sell my Cali. Vin, Reg, and Title. Then Just start over fresh in Nebraska. Or would it be better to transfer it.

Also could use some help when I get there with getting my tbucket out of the uhaul. :jawdrop:

Can you legally do that in California? Selling a state issued Title, Vin and registration without the car is against the law in Illinois.

Not sure.
Thats how I got it.

Its a 1923 title and vin 7 digit vin.

If its easier to start over in NE. Then I guess I could tell Cali DMV that I Cut the car up and recycled the metal.
I'd hate to waist a good title.

Ya, I've been researching it. Bad idea just to sell a title.
So I think I should just do a release of liability. Say it was just the engine and I recycled it.
Then just start fresh in Lincoln, NE.

Ok, just not going to do anything tell I get there. Then I'll take it from there

Why don't you just take the all the paperwork with you and use it to register the car in Nebraska. It has to be easier to do a transfer from California then to start from scratch trying to get the bucket titled and licensed as a new build. If it were me I'd take the paperwork for my regular cars and or trucks along with the T-Buckets and do them all at once, they might not even give the bucket a second thought.

I am willing to bet, that if you sell that title without the car and it is used by the buyer to do another car. The buyer and you both will be in big time trouble with possible jail time involved. States are getting serious about Fraudulent Titles and coming down hard on people.

I would think you take your Cali title, with the titles to your other vehicles and tell them you just moved, and need to transfer these cars and buy tags. Something plain and simple. Unless they have a vehicle inspection!

Ya they have vehicle inspection.
I'm going to take my info with me and figure out when I get there.

I hope I'm not the only T-bucket owner in Lincoln.
I noticed speedwaymotors is there.

There is 12 Members of the NTBA that live in Nebraska, 3 of them are in Lincoln.
