Hello everyone. I am building a T. I am about 75% finished. I am trying to figure out how to attach the upholstery to the top lip of the body. I have an old Total performance manual and it used a plastic tack strip and a wire on welt. Where can I find these? Or is their a better way?
Thanks

I also have a Total T and i'll look around and see if i have a sample you can take to a auto trim shop to show them i will post some pics of what it looks like and the way its installed.Give me till tomorrow. Also go back to your stats page and tell us where your from.

Welcome to the forum, I see you have the buttons and the tangs that go through your radiator core, I would find another way to hold whatever they are holding, as they will tare up the cooling tubes real fast, you don't need a leak there with your new radiator...If your uph. is in to stay, you can contac glue it... some use a flap of the same material and fasten with snaps to the outside edge of the body

Welcome to the group, it looks like you're well on the way with your build. Keep us updated on your progress.

Welcome Austin to the greatest forum on the web. I would also like to add you will never get any closer than 90% done i have ben driving mine all summer and i think i change something every week. Car looks great. Take your time with the interior. Think about it a month or so the interior can make or break a car. This is a CCR insert. I will take some pics of my friends total T this weekend he did his at a shop and it turned out great in ultra leather ( fake leather).

It is a Corbin Rods body. The ties through the radiator hold the electric fan and the temp control for the fan. I am going to paint them silver and put a vent cover over the radiator from Lowe's. I have fitted the rag top,gas tank and the windshield frame since the pictures. I installed friction shocks on front.

Mine is a CCR body and CCR interior. The point to the plastic ties is it WILL wear a hole in your core. build a bracket to hold the fan.
