Block hugger headers

I'm using block hugger headers on my small block ford.Installing them in reverse(left side on right side and right side on left)gives more clearance and room for other essentials.Will this type of installation Work ?Thanks. Bob

not sure if can gain much that way. changing the way the exhaust pipes run might cause more clearance problems. also think about the engine torque moving the motor.

In my application reversing them solves the clearance problems,my main concern is what effect will this have on the motor.The motor I had in the car had similar exhaust headers except the dump was in the center.These dump off center to the rear.Reversing them brings the dump away from existing set-up. Bob

Might give a funky agle to hook up your exhaust pipes , but won't have any effect on the way your engine runs [unless the headers are "pulse tuned"] ..

It should make no effect at all if they fit. SBF exhaust ports are symmetrical unlike the BBf. If it fits better "Just do it".
