Hey there all,

I finally got some time to work on the Bucket.
I actually made some really good progress and got my steering 95% sorted.

Im so happy with the final result, its been a long time getting to this point.

For the full build go here http://www.possum.geek.nz/2010/03/steering-1.html

Congrats.
Progress of any kind is great. :thumb:
I popped over to your build blog (nice, btw). Your daughter takes better pictures than many adults I know... including me!

Very nice work. I only noticed on small detail and i am a bit hesitate to even mention it but here goes . ITS ON THE WRONG SIDE. And i think you distributor is also in the front. This can only mean one thing you will have to drive backwards on the wrong side of the road. :wacky: :zingy:
Seriously good work isnt it great to build with your kids help !! does it get any better than that . :thumb:

At first I had typed that exact thing about it being on the wrong side but then I realized that he must have photo-chopped the picture and reversed it, by mistake.

I know the feeling. It's always good to here another bucket is getting closer to terrorizing the streets. Your build pics are very nice.

Nice looking bucket in progress. Doesn't that make you mad You just finish painting your frame then you find out you have to make another hole.

I too saw the tricks to my little gray cells when I first looked at the picture. Stabilty was re-established when I saw the nz tag on the web address.

Wow, 4140 steering shafts? I'm impressed.

I'll need to use a Double D at my rack but will use spines the rest of the way up.

I've been of the opinion that Double D shafts and u joints aren't as tight as splined joints and allow a tad of steering play? Is that the case or are Double D's just as tight?

It's great having members from countries where right hand steering is the norm as it is inspiring seeing how building is approached elsewhere.

Well done there Bluefish.

Well done there Bluefish.

I have double D's on my T and splined on my '37 and both are equally tight with absolutely no play.
