Building some new headers.

Well, not me, but my Son Dan is building some new headers for his 1930 rpu. He originally was using some that he had Sanderson custom build for him but he felt they didn't fit the look of the rest of the car............he wanted something more old timey. So he bought a bunch of U bends, flanges, and megaphone cones and has started to make a new set.

Here are the ones he is replacing:

And here is the beginnings of his new headers.

Not a big point but that 3" collecter looks a little out of place for the vintage look. I cut mine down to a 2 1/4".

We looked at the smaller ones when we bought these but they looked way to small to be proportionate with this car. The smaller ones are probably ok for a sbc of flathead, but he is running a 468 Olds and it needs all the breathing it can get, plus the engine is so large physically that the headers need to be proportionately large.

I see. That makes sence.
