Was thinking I'd like to replace my 450 holleys , something shiny instead of dingy....holy crap , when I was looking 8 years ago you could buy these for $189 from anywhere... now , it seems, buy in is $320 & up...that's pretty close to a 90% increase.... has anybody's pay gone up that much....:( guess I'll be running dingy for awhile longer

Your 2nd word, now there is your problem ........ you've been thinking again !!! heheheh! :whistling:

It will cost you ~$200 (per carb) to get them re-dipped, if that is an option for you. My guess is by the time you take them apart, ship them to someone to be dipped, pay for those services, pay for the round-trip shipping, and then buy a pair of kits, you'll not be far off the price of new carbs. At that point, unless you are emotionally invested in your original carbs, flip the coin.

It only cost 25 bucks to get my dog 'dipped' and I'm more emotionally attached to him than those carbs!....& it still pissed me off!!!

This sure does make me feel old. WAY back in the late 60s I can remember buying all new, Edelbrock tunnel ram, and 2 660 Holleys with carb linkage. Got it all for less than $200.

AGREED! Had the same setup.
