Hi guys, I'm almost to the point of buying a cerb. I've always used
Holley 650 carbs, But I like the looks of the Edelbrock Endurashine
carb. I'm using the Endurashine manifold. I guess what i;m asking,
what carb is going to be the least trouble?

Edelbrock will give you the least amount of problems.Holley is just to touchy for me.I just gave away a 600 Holley wit maybe 100 miles on it.The edelbroc has givin me 2 years of trouble free service. What size engine do you have?65 seams awfull big for anything under 400 cu.in.just my opinion here.

A stock 1989 302 out of a Mustang. B303 cam with ported and polished
steel heads that came with the car.

I agree with Rick. I, too, gave away a Holly with hardly any miles on it and replaced it with an Edelbrock when I built my '37. When I was building my T I used an Ederbrock on it also. For my money they are the best for a my cars.

My bucket has a 302 with a mild cam. I recently swapped the Holley (600 cfm 4160 with vacuum secondaries) that came with it for a 600 cfm Edelbrock Performer (similar to a Carter AFB). Driveability has improved greatly-the Holley refused to idle until the engine was warmed up and was otherwise cantankerous. None of that with the Edelbrock!

P.S.-I was told by the guy I bought the car from that the carb was a 650 cfm 4150 double-pumper. Turned out he was wrong, and I'm just not that familiar with Holleys-I've always favored Carters or Edelbrocks.
