chassis kits?

my 60s built chassis is falling apart. im starting over. from what i here, most people prefer spirit over speedway. but what i would like hear from someone that has 60k plus miles on there chassis kit. how are your welds?photo (7).JPGphoto (8).JPGmail.jpg

yes it is. ive been reading all the forums for months now and finally became a member. everyone seems to be very helpful to each other and i have quite a project ahead of me.

Welcome to the site. We have chassis kits starting at just $185, then going up from there depending on what you want us to put on it. We use a 2 x 3 tube with a 3/16 wall. All of our welding is done in the jig. give me a call if we can help you out.

I think you would be happy with a frame / chassis from any of the vendors on this site.

Very politically correct but the truth is we have great vendors here and I can say it is a pleasure to do business with Ron at RPM roght product at price quoted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would go with a Spirit or CCR ! Get yourself some chassis plans from CCR or from this site and build your own, you can have some local welder weld it up for you! You don't need a "jig" to build it, just "measure twice, tact once, re-measure and then weld" .

I don't know what your frame or welds look like with the pictures shown, but here's a thought. Maybe save the frame that you have and add some gussets to reinforce your joints. I'm sure sponsors of this site would be more then willing to analyze what you have and offer their honest opinions.

Well I typed it up and just noticed that the O.P. has been banned. I'm still going to throw it out there and maybe better my own education.

LOL if it were that easy, everyone would be building frames!
The trick is measuring , I didn't say it was easy, just not impossible. You don't need to spend time and money on a jig for a one time frame build. I didn't have a jig to build mine and it's square and level! And it's not a 1/16" off.
