Crankcase ventilation: how do you do it?

I have been trying to see how to post a questions on this forum. It will not let me I push contact us no answer I keep different things but no luck. That is why I put it here. Getting frustrated about ready to bale
just decompress there....I've seen enough explosions this past week on motors....hahaha....
Should be able to write in box, then hit 'post reply'....done.
Now, if your running safescript and linux, your gonna have to give those darn things permission to wipe your nose....before you can post.
If you still have trouble, try clearing your cache and cookies....but don't fret....one of our compu guru's will pop up shortly and get ya ironed out

You can go to the "forums" page and select an appropriate forum topic, then select create thread, and author your thread.

See the three "Yellow Arrows" ?

1.) Click on "Forums"
2.) Click on the Forum you want to post in. In this case I picked "Frames and Chassis"
3.) Click on "Post New Thread".

I am making custom valve cover with no holes in the top.
I am thinking of using this kit from summit, minus the caps for the tops.

Evacuating the crankcase gases I am planning the baffles and orifices from the back of the valve covers and plumbing the vent tubes to the headers aft of mufflers, then on the front side of the valve covers I plan on using the Offenhouser air intakes on the front side of the covers.

Lets hope it works well.
Honestly I think the PCV valve and plumbing was a kludge fix work around to re-burn gasses to get past emissions controls that just contaminate your air/fuel mixture making your engine less efficient and inherently more polluting.

I doubt you will get much vacuum aft of the mufflers. I think you need to be in the collectors. I would leave off the front breathers.

Originally I was worried about back pressure from the mufflers, but after looking at these 3 1/2" cherry bombs I doubt there will be any.
I think you are correct, I don't really need fresh air, I just need to evacuate the pressure.
That should help make the custom valve covers look cleaner as well.

Open up most any motor w/o a functionng PCV system , especially those that are driven short distances & never really get wamed up , & you'll most likely find oil/water sludge . It's because the engine has no way to effectivley remove condensation that forms in the crankcase .A "race only" engines a different story

Maybe make a booster venturi similar to a carb to help suck the vapor out easier. I know the tube it self sticking into the exhaust pipe kind of sort of makes its own venturi, but like it was said before, that's for high RPM's , open exhaust (with a lot of tracks now a days muffled but low back pressure) which might be your case, and for short periods; ei. oil change after every race
