Well that might be my next too. My buddy with the Dyno has a new Holley he will be mounting on his car soon so he told me to try it and lets dyno it again. It sure is nice having a Dyno close by and at the price of $40 for 3 pulls, it's worth it. Test and Tune Baby....Test and Tune.
600 Edelbrock. The Cam is advanced 5 degrees so that way I have bottom end Torque. I might play with it a little as long as I don't loose much of the TQ on take off.
More advance will usually give you more power untill it starts to detonate. We run 18-20 deg initial with a total all in of 38 at 2500 rpms. I have run as much as 44 total in a race motor with domed pistons.
I'll try it. I believe I'm already around 32-36 total...but don't hold me to it either......I did pull the distributor for a slight rebuild about 2 months ago.
