drag link help needed

My spirit car has a vega steering box. The pitman arm is drilled for 1/2" bolt. Most of the steering arms i see are 5/8" holes. I see spirit sells a draglink with 1/2 ends. What would be my best option?

I have same condition with my Spirit 27T. I bought a steel spacer, 5/8 OD x 1/2 ID at Ace Hardware that was the right length, shortened it just a bit to make sure that the fastener would snug up against the steering arm and not the spacer. Another option is to buy a drag link from RPM that has 5/8 threads. Get one 5/8 heims for the steering arm and one 5/8 - 1/2 heims for the pitman arm. Midwest Control Products MXM-10-8 and MXML-10.

1/2" Heims are plenty for all your steering controls, something else will go before those bolts fail, and never hook them up into a blind threaded hole, always use at least a very good lock nut setup... NOTE:! If using a blind threaded hole, use safety wire on the bolt heads, like blind (cast or forged) 2 bolt steering arms... IMHO :)

Ted is absolutly correct. I recomend the arms from Chassis Eng. They have thru bolts in them so lock nuts can be used. On some tube axles, the cast or forged arm also cause clearance problems, not so with the CE arms.
