What is the procedure to immediately edit (as in OOOPs I made a mistake) a reply and where have all the pictures gone?

O.K. I see the the edit button, but it's not always there. Really

As for where the images have all gone, see this thread.

As for the edit button, you're right - it is not always there. It will only appear in posts you have made and then for only five minutes after you submitted the post. After the five minutes, the button will no longer appear.
