I will be getting it on Wednesday, fingers crossed that there is no damage. 27T truck cab from Russnomore in La.IMG_1549.jpeg

This body is going on a Model A chassis from Spirit cars. Body is not channeled. Spring over axle front, coilovers rear. Transmission is a 6R80 controlled by a Quickshift 6. Power will be a 480hp Smeding built 363” Ford 8.2 deck. Carbureted, no EFI. Body color Washington Blue, red smoothies for wheels. 4 wheel disc brakes. I’m trying for more of a highboy look.

That sounds like an awesome combination. Can't wait to see your build pics. Keep 'em coming!

IMG_1570.jpegBody has been received. Not overly impressed. I have worked in composites before and there are several thin spots in lower rear cab wall that will need more glass. There is a giant goober on roof as well. The dashboard piece has a large defect which I was assured is normal, “that’s the way our mold looks” Would I order again? NO. There was poor communication throughout the process, what was quoted as one month delivery turned into three plus months. If anyone else orders one definitely don’t get the channeled version. As mine sits unchanneled I am think a seat cushion of five inches maximum sitting on the floor is all that will work, basically as another person pointed out the chop is just a bit too much. Too bad they didn’t make one with a 2-3” chop….7”” is just too much. I’m going to do a mockup on my chassis soon and decide whether I even want to keep this.

Also, the photo at the very start of this thread is actually the finished crate. I thought it was the start of the crate….nope, it actually shipped like that. The guys at the freight dock were shaking their heads and said even if this mess of a crate was wrapped with cargo plastic it would have helped greatly to stiffen the whole structure. Personally I would have never shipped something like this crate to a customer with a 4k body inside it, no way.

Yep I have one also. Is there a way to unchop the top. Being 6'2" setting on the floor no seat and I can't sit up straight. Some guy about 5'2" would be a good size. The ding in the dash, mine had it too in 2012 when I bought mine.

Do you have enough room between the frame rails to cut out and add false bottom that is 4" or so lower? Or make the frame rails wider at that point, sort of like a "C" notch turned on its side.

There is ZERO excuse to be repeatedly molding a dashboard with such a flaw in it. They suggested “your body man can fix it”At this point I’m just tired of dealing with them:(
