Sorry about the double post at the top and all these other extra posts.. Too dumb to figure out how to post more than one picture per post????????

Looks good from here !!

Dang that looks great, I think your being modest about not building in wood before.............You doing OK......

Mike

That's terrific. I think I'd finish it with a removable vintage wood-and-leather steamer trunk.

Check to make sure that that tall Panhard bar mount will not hit your bottom side of your new bed when car is completely loaded with full weight including 2 people and a good dip in the road... BTDT :) Load it all up with weight and have someone stand on the rear and bounce it... better to find out NOW then later...

THAT is awesome! Great job..... first timer?

Thanks, guys, for all the compliments. I will be sure to check that mount, Ted. I never thought about that.
Well, I'm going to stain it and finish up with some polyurathane to protect it from the sun and weather. I'll post some pics of the finished product later.

Ted's right about checking the clearance-- I knocked a hole in my floor of the trunk on my '27 after hitting the pothole from hell on the PowerTour. I had to pull the rear end and tank, cut down the panhard mount, and then fix and plate the floor when we got back. Here is a pic of the carnage...

For a "first timer", you do beautiful work! Be sure to post pix of the finished product!
