Well back to old westerns, back in 1946 I rebember my dad taking the neighborhood boys to the town square in indep mo for the old western movies 15 cents Lash Laroo and all the western actors of the day,lots of good memories.

Back in the mid-50s Gene and Roy (and Dale) were doing the state fair circuit every year. I got all of their autographs when they came to the Iowa State Fair and I even got to pet Champ, Autry's horse. Quite a thrill for a then 7 or 8 year old who lived for Saturday matinees. I ain't 7 or 8 anymore but I still like the matinees. I just got done watching a Gene Autry movie on Encore Westerns and I think there is another coming up in about an hour. My afternoon may already be planned for me.
