Ford Flathead 8BA

Just a curious question. I've seen a lot of supercharged flathead combinations and find them quite interesting. Just 5 pounds of boost can get about 300 hp out of an average 8BA. Other than the average roots style supercharger, what other types of superchargers are available?

It seems I read an article where the supercharger from Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe was grafted onto a flattie. That has been a good while back, so all I have is a memory of it, no details. I think the supercharged Birds came out about 89 or 90. You would probably have to find a slow moving junk yard to find one. An acquaintance of mine, traded his in for the junker swap our guberment did many years ago. I think he got $1500 for it. Other than his alternator giving up, which was under the supercharger plumbing, it was in fine shape. Getting off subject there, sorry. good luck,
