Front axle & suspension help

Dear T-Bucketteers

Im a noob in need of some help with my T-Bucket plans. Id really like to run a spring over axle I-beam front suspension in the traditional Model A look (Ill be using radius rods), but am a little hazy on how a set of tube shocks will work into the plans. All Model A suspensions I see have the shocks out in front and bolted to the frame horns. Now with my T-bucket frame, I wont have those horns so the shocks will need to be mounted behind the axle. How wouldI set that up so I don't have trouble clearing my hair pins.

Is there anyone out there that is running an I-beam spring over axle Model A front suspension that would be willing to share their thoughts, experiences and photos with me?

Thanks for your help

There are lower mounts that will allow you to bolt a shock using the lower bolt/nut that mounts your spring. I do not know the correct verbage but I will find a pick to show what I am talking about.

From there you just fab up some upper mounts bolt/weld them to the frame and you are all set.

This post should help you out:

Here are the mounts I am talking about:

Hi Blake, did you get your steel cut and ready to go? I haven't talked to Joe yet, should have an answer for you at Peach Days, I'll be busy helping till noon so find the bucket and make yourself at home. I'll show ya some ideas on the shocks up there, plenty of cars to look at. See ya there.
