The installation instructions state it should be mounted upright but I can't find anwhere to fit it vertically. Is it possible to run these pumps on their side or am I asking for trouble?
The bracket that comes with that pump will slide up and down the pump. Even if you put the bracket at the top of the pump you can't bolt it to the chassis? The pumps will not last as long if they are not mounted upright.

Thanks guys, I sort of suspected it had to go upright but wanted to double check just in case.
I'm really stuck for room (jag rear). And the chassis is quite low So I can't fit it under the floor.
I might be able to put the tank back a little and put the pump and filter inbetween. I've also got three Hydraulic reservoirs to find a home for.
Or I could mount some pods on the side of the frame, one side for the pump and filter and the other for the hydraulic reservoirs,
I quite like this idea and I could mount the rear lights in the ends. I had some bits of tube lying around which sort of show the idea but these don't look quite right (bit big, wrong shape)
Only trouble with both these ideas in that they need some fancy fabrication to make it look neat, I'm ok with straight lines and folding but complex curves are beyond me :thumb:

Its best not to lay these pumps down...because of the seals and bearings involved in the electric motor. Looking back on your frame...even with a Jag rear installed...between the top and bottom of your rear kickup, you could attach the pump onto a small plate to the inside of the frame rail.
OR, if your running the circular 'spun' style tank...theres some wasted space between the front radius of the tank and body...not much...but enough to mount some small stuff........
