Got a new 23 T

Traded my 35 Chevy coupe for another 23 T to add to my collection and give my other 23 T a new brother. Anyways, posting a pic for you guys. She drives good, Vette 283 Edelbrock Street Master intake, Holley 4bbl carb, TH350, and highway gears in the diff. Was also wondering... at which throttle position do you guys like to have your kick-down cable set at for "passing gear"? (Those of you with auto's that is).

Looking forward to the pics. I don't use a kick down. Makes her a little crazy at speed.

I rarely use kick down actually, but I got it set-up to kick down at about 7/8 throttle or so. Hopefully the picture upload worked.

No need for kick down cable IMHO, car is too light and can get out of shape in a hurry with it. I removed mine and plugged the hole.

Yes, I still have the car in my avatar; although "supposedly" someone is supposed to come look at it to buy it tomorrow. I took it all apart to re-paint the frame since I ended up not liking the cream color and wanted it black. It's still apart, haha.

Good point on the kickdown. My motor doesn't have a ton of torque since it's a 283 with a higher-end cam, single plane intake, and large carb also for high end. It only kicks down now when I'm around 40 or so and mash the go fast pedal pretty much all the way. =)

Put a new tranny in mine last winter and ordered one without the kick down. As stated above can get scary with teh light car. With out kick down no problem going as fast as you want and getting there quicker than you thought, even with a stock 305 from an Iroc Z

Thanks for the input everyone! Yeah, they are pretty quick being so lightweight. I'd love to put in a 4 speed someday.

PS. Just sold the T in my avatar... now down to one 23T.
