Just bought a new mustang rad from auto zone and a model a grill shell from speedway and they wont fit together, rad is to wide. Is there a modification I can make or do I need a bigger grill shell?
What year Mustang? I'm using a 66 Mustang rad with shortened model a shell and it works fine. plenty of room. are you sure they gave you the correct radiator?
Thanks for the response, I just checked the number on my recite and it's the wrong stock number according to their web site.I will check with the store.I just checked the box and it's the wrong one. Thanks for the help.
Just got home from autozone with the right rad,checked to see if it fit right on. Tomorrow I will get it in fill it up with coolant and start her up for a while
The mustang rad 21 inches tall from the top to bottom of the tanks, it is 19 3/4 from the edges of the mounting flanges, and both outlets are on the left side (drivers). Hope this helps.

You can also order them with the Chevy outlets,top in center 1 1/4 and bottom 1 1/2 on the right side but the filler neck is offset to left side, not in the center.
