Happy Birthday to me!!!`

Well since it was supposed to hit 115-117 today, I opened my 65th birthday present early at 6am, while it was just 95, and guess what? It made it around the block and back without a hitch, What a thrill to finally get to drive it after 18months. I parked it back in the garage and now going over the punch list I have after driving it two miles.

Motor, Tranny, Steering, Brakes, Suspension operated fantastic. Love the ride with the torsion-bar frt. The following are notes I made after the ride:

Neigbors urged me not to try it again before 7am or my tires would be flat.

Frt. Seal Leaks - Replaced it yesterday, still leaks
Rr. Main Seal Leaks
Oil sensor Leaks
Tranny Cooler Braided Hose Leaks
Diff. Cover Seal Leaks - Did a lousy job the first two times.
Oil Pressure, Temperature, and Fuel Gauges don't work properly and ISSPRO quite making that style 20yrs. ago.
Headlight Brackets bounce to much - Must reinforce and re-polish.
Rear tires to wide for fenders - must remove or replace with narrower tires by 3/4" to be safe..

And to think, someone said, "A project is never done."

I will post video in a couple of days.

Hey AZCOWBO, Happy B-Day! You're right, these things, like custom bikes too, are never ending projects. I haven't gotten my bucket fitted to suit me yet, tried a couple of different versions, and still changing stuff, and I bought a new intake set up today to put on it and still haven't driven it myself! Good luck on getting all of the new car blues fixed so you can get out and enjoy it! Eddie
P.S. I'll take the cool green mountains of NC, I think the temps you are having there would kill an old mountain boy!
