Holley 600 getting poor mileage

Since compression directly relates to engine efficiency , I'say it absolutely effects mileage....
i've never seen a float heught spec. for an externally adjusted float , not saying there isn't 1 , I've never seen or used 1...

Well, the float levels on both bowls turned out to be low when checked wet. After adjustment, the engine started very quickly and idled very well. It was ok before, so maybe just my imagination. The 31 shooter is very strong, so I may drop down to a 25. Maybe between those 2 tweaks, the mileage will come back. I will post after I burn the next tank.
