Hopefully Soon to be T builder

Hi, I'm new here, and interested in doing a Electric T build. I want to use it as a "most sunny days" daily driver between home and work. I've been wanting to do a electric car for a while now, and I've always loved T-Buckets, so there's no since in driving a metro just because I need a lite car.

I'm on a pretty tight budget these days since my wife's job got downsized here recently, but if I'm not in a hurry and resourceful I think I can get it done. I think I will buy the Frame and suspension stuff from Ron at RPM. I can probably drive up and save shipping on the big stuff.

I found this site, and it looks like a great place to start my research as I'm still working out the details of what I actually want.

Thanks

Mike

Re an electric T, there is at least one other out there... I've seen pix but I don't remember where.

American Chopper did a motorcycle with an electric motor in it that did a bazillion miles an hour in the 1/4 mile. That would make a cool motor to put in a t.

Check Popular Mechanics from the early '70's to the mid '80's. They built just what you're looking for. It's about a 4 or 5 page artical complete with drawings and sources. Could have been mechanics Illustrate too.
