Long Time Lurker from GA

Well,

Guess it's time to say hi. I've been reading the forum for some time, collecting parts, taking measurements to make sure I would fit (I'm a big ole boy), and getting ready to build my t-bucket. Because of my size, I had decided on the larger (if you could call a T large) '27 body style. I also liked the "earlier" look.

I had been looking at all the pictures that T-odd had posted in his albums, and saw a car in his local club that was just about what I was wanting to build. Next thing I knew, Tim (the car's builder/owner) had offered the car for sale....and to make a long story short...the car is now mine.

All I need to do now is find time to enjoy it.

Now that I've become an "official" member (sent in a donation and ordered a couple of shirts) and now own a T, I guess I'll start posting to other threads when I have something useful to add.

welcome to the site full time Martin .... lol ...pic please!!!

Ron

Youngster -- I added a few pictures (most taken by T-odd) in my picture gallery. I haven't been home on a clear day to take any new ones.

Randall -- I'm not too far from you. I'm on Highway 212....just 1 mile north of the 20 / 212 4-way stop. I saw your chassis at Summit when it was on display there....but missed the car show at the church . And didn't hear about the one downtown until the following day.

pretty sweet Martin. Any changes in mind??

Ron

Welcome  cool T

Welcome nice bucket for a first one.

Martin, sorry I could get there in time to shake hands and say hello. Bad storms the night before knocked out power and the alarm didn't go off for me to get up.

Sure hope you enjoy that car. It's a driver, and I can show LOTS of pics of it going down the highway. We had some great times going to Nashville, Little Rock, etc. I never got to Bowling Green with everybody but I think Tim gave you some magazines when it appeared in event coverage.

If I had the money the car would have been in my garage ;)

I'm going to try to sneak away from work a bit early and make the trip over to Summit Monday afternoon. Hopefully I'll see you there. Looks like the weather is going to be great for a little ride.

I was looking forward to shaking your hand and saying thanks in person, but the weather was not on our side that Saturday morning. We loaded the car in the rain....and drove in rain most of the way home. Good thing we were able to remove the seat and carry it inside the truck I was driving....and cover the instrument panel with plastic.

BTW....when I told a buddy of mine (the one I borrowed the truck from) that I was buying a T-Bucket, he said because of my size, I should be buying a T-Barrel. Oh well....
