I owned 5 corvairs at one time, one was my daily driver and 4 were parts cars. I actually liked mine a lot, regardless of Ralph Nader.

Yep, they are getting scarce everywhere, I haven't seen one in a junkyard or on the road for years now.

Called over 20 local yards or online inventory searches for any Corvair steering boxes... I'm sad to report that none of them have any currently... (Some even laughed at me!)

One is not any better than the other. The aluminum will polish up nice if that is what you want.

Thanks, I think I have bought all that they had. I been buying them up as fast as I can find them. Still need a few aluminum ones though.
