These next photos show how far the body was out after laying glass up.

So here's how I went about fixing the problem. The cage was built when the body was attached together. So I made the body attach to the cage. Here's some more pics of that whole process.

First I filled the gaps with Fiberglass bondo to have a flat surface to work with.

Then I sanded and smoothed out everything.

I cut these recesses in the cage for my tail lights. I have made aluminum boxes to fill the void and make it easy to install the lights.

More bondo to get nice and smooth.

I believe these next pics are of the fist layers of glass with the clamps still on. I dared not to remove the clamps as I don't think the bondo alone would hold the body to the cage.

The moment of truth. It worked. It never popped apart. My heart was racing.

Started working on the inserts to fill the void.

'
and now the sides are glassed in.

Looks good!

Haven't seen you in a while.

There was a lot of things I was not happy with on this truck bed. I am still concerned with how a bed cover will fit. So I am trying to fix that problem before everything is mated together. As you can see the mold was not straight and I know most of them are not. So more glassing is required to fix it.

Passenger side Front Corner (I believe)

So more short width strips to try and build up the low areas.

After a few of these strips and some bondo, I had little to no results in leveling up the sides. So I took the corners off with a sander and decided to make my own.

As you can see I used a square and some welding magnets to hold it to cage on the body and lined the square withe the contour of the lip of the the bed.

this also gave me a way to keep the corners square. Below is an after shot of hard rugged glass.

And this is all the photos I have up to date. You can still access the slideshow in a previous link and it should show you a ton more photos of this truck bed build. I am getting started back on glassing soon. I have a 76 Nova that I am doing at the same time now. It runs and drives, just getting interior redone so I can cruise this year.
