One Ford motor isn't trouble enough...

hee hee. I love it!! a "just because you can" car is just my kind a' project and the mod motors just put icing on the cake..

Since he is in Las Vegas, I hope to see him at one of the local events. I personally like what he has done. By going with the modern, light Ford engines, his front axle weight might be within 250 lbs of a single big block. By using the small positive displacement blowers and a sngle carb, he isn't over carbed and his compressed intake charge is cooler and denser than a 6-71 or 8-71. I say he has is act together. I love the dual tachometers, reminds me of flying a twin. I would of liked to see him mate those engines to a T56 Magnum double overdrive tranny with a .5 top gear. That is my winter project for the Track-T, since the new 383 stroker that I had built for max torque at the lowest rpm, it is now ready to pull some tall gears. I just finished a 2500+ mile trip and it gets old running at 3000 rpms. The new motor got dyno'ed last week and correcting for driveline losses produced a modest 320 hp at only 4050 rpms at the flywheel, but managed a grunt factor of 516 lb/ft at only 2800 rpms. Needless to say, I don't think I'll have any problems pulling such tall gears at 1790 lbs. Thanks for the link, great ride that twin Ford T.

And guys,Gordon "the ower/builder" is a Kiwi, New Zealander for those that don't know what a kiwi is.I appreciate all the extra work involved to make it work but i think it would of looked just as good with one engine, but that is just my opinion.

I like his solution for the distributor since those engines are distributorless from the factory. He may have a market for that piece of engineering. I'd like to see more pictures of how the engines are connected and how the transmission is torque converter is spun.

Agreed. sound like he's quite the talented backyard engineer.

it sounds like his drive is a cogged belt which ties the two engines together, as well as driving a center mounted tq converter which runs on an idler shaft.

"Driveline: Gates 90mm by 14mm pitch Poly Chain GT Carbon via
steelsprockets and a custom machined 2inch spline shaft driving a 3spd Ford C5
automatic transmission. Custom built bell housing. Think of a triangle."
.
That's a car I'd love to see for myself for sure, just to soak in all the details.

WOW! That is cool. I'd like to see what it would do if you really got on it. Engineering is nice, the choice of FORD's is cool, and itsdefinately my kind of color!:hoist:

Well, I sent Gordon an email asking him to join us here on the forum. I did forget to mention to him a fellow kiwi is on board here.

Bob

Overkill at its best :D

I am also curious how they are tied together for power. From the looks of it, it has to be some sort of gear drive setup. Curious minds want to know!

Huummm. my crystal ball says it's a : "Gates 90mm by 14mm pitch Poly Chain GT Carbon via
steelsprockets and a custom machined 2inch spline shaft driving a 3spd Ford C5
automatic transmission". but who knows . :whisper:

I'm looking forward to Gordon joining us here on the forum. I can't wait to talk to him about his unique creation, so since I expect him to show up soon, I revived this thread.

Welcome Gordon, love your ride.

That is a wild ride. I like the use of the Techatticup Mining Camp for a background too.

Just beautifully over the top. I know there are a lot of T's finished to the same level of perfection, but that thing is just unreal. I wonder why the c5 trans. I think it is a c4 with a lockup converter??? I would not think gas mileage is a goal. Those big pullies on the blowers just let them loaf. I noticed in the build photos he had carbs on the engines at one time. I would like to see a video of a little tire smoke. I'll bet he will be building something new shortly.

GREAT GREAT RIDE

Car is amazing. I'm thinking the driver needs to strattle the drive shaft tunnel, steering wheel in the middle so he can see down the roadI was wondering how long it would take to build a distributor system based off of the stock magnetic pickups in the cam covers on those modular motors. Hmmm, you would think the aftemarket would be all over that. Lets see I could use the spare 5.4 lightning motor with eaton blower and a holley carb and not need all the electronic crap to muddyup the engine.
