PAINT

Hi Don and Ted, imagine catching up with my two friends here on this site, looks like I need to expand my viewing range to keep in touch with all my good friends. I must of joined this site long ago and then forgot it. Must be my different shade of blonde hair I think.

Blasting was extra. This was for new bare 15" steel wheels.

Paint is fine by me till I find someone decent.

Actually $75 a wheel is pretty average for wheels. 20 inchers and up can be $100. It probably takes more effort to powder 4 wheels than one frame. Its not the material that costs in powdercoating, its the labor. Most wheels we get take a while to blast and prep properly- they are usually pretty chewed up with some nasty paint or previous powdercoat. $300-$400 for a frame is pretty cheap in imho...

Thank's Don! I have heard of him. People tell me he has the best prices in town. I live right near there, I will check them out this week!

Tell him I sent you. We have used Cao for years and he has always treated us right. He is very reasonable and will go out of his way to do your parts correctly.

Whiplash, nice to see you here, Bud ! :)

Hi Mark, I was off this site for some time, then a Friend said a few were asking where I went, so I checked back in to see what was going on, you know where (which forum, started by a banned person from here) I hang out at most of the time...

Here is a '27 frame that we just completed last week. Customer wanted Gloss black, but that could have easily been silver or a candy. Pics are not great as I took them from my phone...

With quality work like that, it's no wonder your car looks so great, Ben!

Very nice

The owner bought a speedway frame and then added the hoops, brackets etc. He built it so everything is mounted to the frame and not on the body. Motor is supposed to be a detuned race motor. Body is a Speedway 27. We didn't do any of the fab work.

It came as a bare metal chassis. we prepped and powdercoated the frame, 8-3/4 rear end, hairpins, spindles, etc in gloss black.
