Radiator mounting

:)Which is best? Mounting radiator solid or with rubber to take up some of the vibration?

THANKS George:):):)

George I dont know for sure, but my gut and aviation experience tells me to use rubber. Just my 2 pennies worth.

Ford mounted them with a spring underneath to absorb twist and vibrations, but that isn't real practical in a T bucket type car because of looks and room. I do put a pad of rubber under the two feet but mainly to protect the paint. What I use is the square pads places like Dennis Carpenter sells as body mount rubber insulators, or even Ace Hardware sells rubber fender washers that are ok.

I saw this a show over the weekend and thought it was odd until I stated reding this thread.

Yes Rubber is the way to go, on a T Bucket, mounting to the bottom of the frame hides all the rubber, needed on both sides of the steel mounting tab to the radiator, the top hose will hold everything pretty well if you use a good molded hose.. just my thoughts... Ride safe.
