steering column

Over the weekend I saw some tilt steering collums that were out various vehicles. Is there a particular collum that works well in the T Bucket? I was guessing it might be a truck collum but not sure. I've been planning on ordering a catalog one but if something else works well Id like to look at it. Thanks,Bruce

If you can find a early 60's Chevy passenger car column you're golden. They are easy to shorten, have a narrow column with a nice tulip behind the wheel and don't have a bunch of wiring to mess with.

Welcome Bruce :) a lot of what type column to use would depend on the steering you are using. I don't have a tilt, but I don't think it is needed.

Ford and Dodge pick ups from the late '60's and early '70's also have some good unites.

Check out 70's-80's Chevy vans. Their short and easy to install. Cheap? It's been awhile, however Pick-a-part is usually the right price.

I used a tilt out of a late 80's compact GM (Cavalier type). I hunted all over for it, as I wanted one with just turn signal, dimmer switch and hazard warning. Took a long time to find one, but I did. I use the tilt all the time - up to get in, down to drive, up to get out.
