Where do you get a steering wheel like this?

he gets you to plasma cut him one out of some 3/8 aluminum :D

a cnc mill would do a good job on it after you got a drawing and some points

maybe make the spokes a little smaller so your fingers don't get caught in them. If you use aliminum you could have it anodized almost any color you want.

NO CHROME!! I ended up painting my 3 chrome spokes in my wood steering wheel Satin Black.. Too many times the Sun tries to BLIND you, no dash chrome as well... Drive safe, :D

I agree. my car has a polished billet wheel, and when the sun hits it I can feel the heat on my face.
I guess the maltese cross design is personal preference. And personally, I think it was played out 5 years ago. I would look for something different. There is a company that will build a custom billet wheel for you. Look up BAD (billet accessories direct, I think it is) on google. If you cant find it, pm me and I will track them down.

I betcha Jesse James at Westcoast Choppers has sumptin very similar on one of his past projects.

I'd say CNC or plasma. Can you plasma aluminum? And I would annodize it GREEN. But definently not black. I do not care for black wheels at all. My son thinks black wheels and tires are cool. I think they are uglyier than crap.

You can use a plasma on aluminum but it's messy. Water jet works much better.

I don't like cutting aluminum with the plasma.

I drew that up last night in CAD, I'll cut one out later on today from some 14ga and take a picture of it.

Ron,

Did you cut one of these? If so, did it turn out alright?????? Pic????
