One of the primary boosters is leaking fuel on the front carb, I've dropped the fuel pressure down to see if that helped but it didn't, I checked the float level and it is fine.
I'm guessing that this is the main problem for the idle, it's getting better, just need to stop the leak.

You need to fix that right away! That could ruin the bearings and the crank if you run it for very long at all. It could be a gasket leaking and when you shut the engine off it will drain the float bowl. All that gas runs down and ends up in the oil. Gas in the oil will kill the bearings real quick.
Oh, sorry, forgot to add this one....a good article on carb tuning. Has alot of good pointers here for folks that are troubleshooting their carbs, whether its a single or dual carb setup.... http://members.tccoa.com/392bird/tuning.htm
It's alive!
I disassembled the carbs and soaked them, put in 4.5 PV's and it worked.
I think the main thing was the baseplates were not even snug, when I got it the owner said he spent $400.00 on rebuilding the carbs so I just changed the PV's and some gaskets initually.
I really appreciate everyone's help! you guy's are great.
I can't beleive it's actually running, I toke to laps around the block, need to adjust the timing, trans, rear, etc along with the suspension bolts and such, but it's running.
There's onlt one slight problem.......
I really don't fit in it, damn it! One day I'll graduate up to the stretched version.
Great to hear ya got it running....those massive Air leaks are hell! What RR Said!. Well, ya gotta get your paperwork done, theres a article for stretching the body in the tech pages....
