This is strange I know... How can a T-Bucket equal a 1940 Chevy Pick Up?

We'll a little back ground 1st.
I have wanted to build a bucket since I was a kid. Knew people that had them and I always wanted one...

Fast Forward 30+ years...
Not really in the market for one yet (going back to school), but I have planned and re-planned my Bucket build so many times in my head, that I can walk out the garage and almost see it sitting there.

Anyway, I was going to go ahead and buy the steel & brackets for the frame this year and mock it up on the weekends (where I work)..
So over the 4th, I started telling my F.I.L. my plans, and he said, "that's it"...
My 36 Ford P/U is almost done, I'm giving Sarah (my wife)& you my '40. Yes, I said.. Giving!

So, it looks like I'll have a Chevy p/u in my garage come this late fall / winter.
It does need some work/updating/P.M., but it does run and drives and still looks really good.

Presently has a 350 with blower and dual quads.. Not my thing!
So, we are going to remove that and eventually sell them (hopefully, this will finance the induction replacement, but knowing my FIL.. it may not)
And either replace with a single 4 Bbl or possibly 3x2...

So, see a T-Bucket can equal a Chevy P/U..

But this does not mean that I have given up hope & plans on a T-Bucket, only delayed it a little while.....

Any thoughts?
