TH-350 speedo hookup

Has anyone ran into the collar connecting the pulse generator to the TH-350 being too deep ? The collar bottoms out on the transmission speedometer gear retainer, not allowing the o-ring in the collar seat.

I determined that the collar was .100 from seating the oring, superglued two orings together and installed. The collar pulled up tight and has oring seal. Not the best answer, but it worked. Now onward to the next phase.
