I really couldnt find a transmission tunnel that I liked, so I mocked up the design that I had in my head out of heavy card board. Tapped it all together with shipping tape. I then built a perfect 90 degree base, tapped the mock up piece to the base using aluminum tape. I wiped that down with Vaseline to keep the resin from sticking to the aluminum. I the cut out a nice wood backbone to give a little more strength to my finished piece. The fibreglass laid down pretty good, I had precut all my individual pieces. After the resin hardened the piece separated from the mold pretty easy. Im going to sand the tunnel down then paint it black. After that I will go back in with a black rose lace down the backbone. It should give it a goast affect and texture. Its been a while since I delt with fibreglass. but dint turn out half bad. i will post final results.
